John Wesley Powell River History Museum: Dinosaur Tour

Led by: Dr. Jim Kirkland

Following the discovery of the oddball dinosaur Falcarius utahensis south of Green River, the town’s city council endeavored to fund an exhibit on local dinosaur discoveries at the museum.

Join paleontologist Dr. Jim Kirkland who worked with the city to put the exhibit together, which displays fascinating dinosaur discoveries from the Cretaceous formations right here in Green River. Jim will give the history of the exhibit and how, with the help of friends in the region, it was put together in a most cost effective manner.
